Where does the plan come from?

From the trip's Google Sheet. A copy ships with the app, and Update from Google Sheet (Today → More, or Settings) reads the sheet again whenever you choose.

How do two phones stay in step?

The trip's owner turns on sharing in Settings and invites the other traveller. Edits then sync between the two phones through iCloud.

A place shows on the wrong spot on the map.

Open the row, tap Edit and correct its place name. The app only accepts a map result near that day's city.
